Originally an indigenous Maya people from the Central Chiapas highlands of Mexico. Their traditional clothing is renowned for the use of patterns and strong colours and thus are the inspirations for many of Natalia del Rivero's designs. She has used the distinctive pattern shown on two of her other greeting cards, and by applying a strong pink and matching the tissue lining of the envelopes, it gives the design a hole new look.
