The gull-winged Mercedes-Benz SL is one of the most distinctive of all sports cars. Outstandingly successful on both road and track the \"Sport Leicht\" was a race-bred design which changed little visually in the road car it later became. Tony has once again captured the spirit of this most famous of Mercedes in pencil and ink for us in his original drawing. Starting with an HB pencil for the outline, he rendered the light and dark shading in a range of soft to hard pencils with very dark areas, such as the shadows and tyres, rendered in ink.
