Built from 1959-1967, the Austin-Healey 3000 was a highly successful car which in its heyday won its class in many European rallies and is still raced in classic car competitions by enthusiasts today. This beautiful looking roadster is the subject of our final ‘classic’ which Tony has evoked so successfully in his original drawing and which we have reproduced here for you.
Starting with an HB pencil for the outline, light and dark shading has been rendered in a range of soft to hard pencils with very dark areas, such as the shadows and tyres, rendered in ink. Finally the highlights or hotspots have been enhanced in soft white pencil so as to capture perfectly the essence of this charming car which we have reproduced for you as a handsome greeting card.
