Why is it important to have a visitors book?
People and places make memories and nowhere more so than your home. As the years pass by, these books offer a lovely way to remind yourself of who came to your home and when. In addition some guests will also leave funny comments which will be specific to a certain incident or conversation which you will most likely not remember without that little nudge from them.
What to write in a visitors book?
More often than not you will write your name, address and date of visit. Our books also offer you some space to leave a comment which is usually a highlight of your visit, be it a particular dish your host cooked or a funny incident.
Do you offer a personalised visitors book?
Our guest books are supplied with no personalisation as standard. We do offer matching gold personalisation on the bottom right hand side of the book for up to 20 characters and which can be added as an extra on the product page itself. In the event that you would something more detailed then please add this in the special request section of the product page when ordering.
Condolence Books
What to write in book of condolence and how long should your condolence message be?
Messages of condolence are always a hard thing to write and sometimes keeping them short and to the point is a sensible decision. We think that the key structure should include some context as to how you found out about the bereavement and what your relationship was to the deceased. Then express your feelings; sadness, sympathy, love, happy times shared through a reflection of how that person affected your life. Maybe share an anecdote and then offer your support in the bereaved familie’s moment of need.
Is a book of condolence the same thing as a book of remembrance?
No, a book of remembrance is usually a compiled list of names of those who have died, more often than not they are attributed war dead. Another use is to commemorate people who have been cremated or buried at a location, as an alternative to grave markers. So a condolence book is normally for private families to bring home as a keepsake and can be used as a reference for replying to letters of condolence.
What size are your funeral memory books and can they be personalised?
Our books are all A4 as we believe that most guests attending will leave more than one line comments, so providing as much space as possible is important. Our books can be personalised on the cover in the bottom right hand corner. If you would like more detailed personalisation then do please request this on the product page prior to completing your purchase.
Guest Books for a Wedding:
Currently we only offer the one wedding guest book, which is made using a buckram cover allowing for easy cleaning of those inevitable spills which occur all too frequently. The Book comes with blank pages on the inside and protective chrome cornering.
Do you offer a personalised wedding guest book?
Yes, the cover can be personalised in two ways; either we start with a blank cover, so without the words “Our Wedding” and then personalise it with more specific words for you or we leave the front cover with the “Our Wedding” and then apply your names or initials in the bottom right hand corner. We offer the personalisation in gold only.
