An evolution of the earlier DB5, most famously associated with James Bond, the Aston Martin DB6 is possibly to this day still one of the most coveted grand tourers, even though production spanned but 5 years in the late 1960s. Looking just as elegant and refined in pencil and ink as in real life, Tony has captured this car’s timeless appeal with his wonderful drawing which we have reproduced here for you. Starting with an HB pencil for the outline, he then rendered the light and dark shading in a range of soft to hard pencils with very dark areas, such as the shadows and tyres, rendered in ink. Finally he enhanced the highlights or hotspots in soft white pencil so as to capture perfectly the essence of this magnificent car which we have reproduced for you as a handsome note card.
