Alain claimed his fourth world title in this car and in the process became one of the greats in his 'swan song' year.
Unquestionably this makes him another perfect subject for inclusion in our selection of images by F1 artist Tony Regan. Prost is shown here in the 1993 Williams FW15C at his majestic best.
Tony starts by drawing the image using a traditional HB pencil before rendering it in gouache paint using a range of sable brushes to capture the smallest detail. Then, by using an airbrush technique for the backgrounds, he is able to give them added realism and the painting real dynamism.
We believe Tony’s original painting captures car and driver perfectly and we have reproduced it for you as a handsome greeting card.
